Seared Scallops
Preparation Time: 15–20 minutes
Ingredients
- 10-12 fresh scallops.
- 2 tablespoon olive oil.
- 1 tablespoon butter.
- 2 cloves garlic.
- Salt and pepper to taste.
- 1/2 lemon.
- Fresh herbs parsley or chives, chopped.
Method
- Place a frying pan over medium heat and add olive oil.
- Once the pan is heated, carefully add the scallops. Cook each side for about 1 minute until they turn golden brown.
- Add butter and minced garlic to the pan. Continue cooking for an additional minute, allowing the flavours to meld.
- Remove the pan from the heat. Squeeze the juice from half a lemon over the scallops and generously sprinkle them with the fresh chopped herbs.
- And its ready to serve.
